Progress?

I came across these cargo containers in what would eventually be a huge planned community outside of Los Angeles County.

The mountains were already carved up into parcels and the roads were paved. You could see from the divided lots, that the houses would be very close to each other and they would traverse the mountain side.

On this cold Sunday, time stood still. Nothing was happening. It looked the project had been abandoned.

I wondered what would happen to all the wild animals that were obviously displaced. And that made me think of news stories I've seen where dangerous, wild predators appear in terrified homeowners backyards. There's always an overhead shot of the animal being cornered and sometimes killed in order to preserve Progress.
